In section 43 of Contributions to Philosophy (of the Event) by Heidegger we read of decision, both in its standard existential-psychological-anthropological sense of choosing or preferring and in its more originary sense as an opening of the temporal-spacial playing field in which the appropriation of Dasein by beyng takes place. We then discuss how this more originary meaning of decision might apply to questions of therapeutic efficacy.
